The Voce Chamber Singers are known throughout the DC metropolitan area for dynamic programming and high standards of musical excellence. The ensemble is comprised of music professionals and experienced singers from the surrounding communities, and our performances seek to share the transformative power of great choral music with audiences throughout our region. Voce has gained national recognition for its commitment to commissioning new works by leading American composers. The group premiered its most recent commission, Stephen Caracciolo’s “in the rain,” in 2016. This work, along with other Voce commissions and a cappella works of Brahms, Grieg, Górecki, Hindemith, and others, is featured on Voce’s new recording, Encounter.

Voce Chamber Singers is devoted to promoting, sustaining, and evolving the choral art form in our community through inspired performances. We present a variety of choral repertoire reaching across genres and cultures in order to instill in our community a deeper appreciation for the beauty of choral music.
