Why Give to ArtsFairfax?

ArtsFairfax is Advancing Creativity for a Propserous Fairfax County.

We recognize the arts are transformative and fundamental to our lives, developing communication and analytic skills in people of all ages. ArtsFairfax serves over 200 arts organizations in the County distributes over $500,000 annually in county, public, and private funds through competitive grants and awards to arts organizations and artists of all disciplines. We also award scholarships to students pursuing advanced studies in an arts discipline.


The arts are essential to a thriving community, creating a sense of place and fueling social and economic growth.

ArtsFairfax collaborated with Americans for the Arts to develop the Arts & Economic Prosperity 5, a national study on the economic impact of the arts. The study highlighted the following for Fairfax County:
