Scottish Dance Classes (Ages 4-6)

Learn to dance this summer! Highland dancing is both a traditional Scottish art form and modern sport — it’s the perfect workout for both the brain and the body, and you definitely don’t have to be Scottish to do Scottish dance. You may recognize it by our tartan kilts, bagpipe music, and lots of jumping (ideal for those kids who never seem to run out of energy…) Our littlest dancers, Primaries (ages 4-6), learn the basics of Scottish Highland dancing. It’s a fun, creative movement based class where students develop their balance, coordination, and musicality, all while making new friends and learning about another culture. Classes meet weekly on Sundays from 2:45-3:30pm from May through August in the heart of Del Ray, in Alexandria. Tuition is $250 for the entire summer (family discount available).
