When Seasons Bloom

Inspired by the ancient wisdom of the 24 Chinese Solar Terms, this dance showcase unfolds the ever-turning cycle of life through the passing of the four seasons. As ethereal spirits of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter entrust one another with the care of the natural world, Chinese classical and folk dances bring to life the imagery and quiet magic woven into the rhythms of nature. Step into a realm where beauty and tradition meet, and every season tells a story of renewal.

Our family-friendly production features restaged award-winning repertoire along with original choreography performed by the students of Xuejuan Dance Ensemble. The expected runtime for this event is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, including a 10-minute intermission. Greater Washington Chinese Dance was established in 2022 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the aim of bringing the art of Chinese dance to diverse audiences in America.
