This beginner drawing course develops strong drawing and observational skills in serious young artists. Students will master three essential foundations: creating the envelope, separating light from shadow, and using the five-value scale. Working with charcoal on toned paper and simple still life objects under a single light source, participants will practice perspective and proportion while learning to see and articulate monumental shapes of light and shadow, create depth, and understand tonal relationships.

Prerequisite: Students must complete Level I before enrolling.

Art supplies provided and included in tuition.
