The Max Jacobs Quartet: Remembering Eddie South

Violinist Maximilian Jacobs, joined by Sam Farthing on guitar, David Marsh on bass, and Jack Gruber on piano, pays tribute to legendary African American jazz violinist Eddie South. The quartet performs a mix of South’s famous recordings, original compositions by Jacobs, jazz standards, and the Hungarian and Roma music that inspired him. Come early for a discussion between Max and our Executive Director Stephen Gorbos at 3:15pm, and be sure to stick around after the concert for our post-concert reception with the artists, with wine selections by McLean Wine Outlet.
