Join New Dominion Chorale for Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, a lively celebration of springtime love, fickle fortune, and the joys of the hunt. Poems from a 13th century manuscript come to emphatic life in this modern song cycle, with percussion, dual pianists Thomas Pandolfi and Frank Conlon, renowned soloists Tess Ottinger, Allan Palacios Chan, and Collin Power, the Langley HS Madrigals, joining New Dominion Chorale and guest conductor Casey Cook for this wonderful piece. The concert also features selections from Johannes Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes—passionate, funny, and wry love songs for your spring afternoon. This sparkling program was arranged by New Dominion Chorale’s Founder and Artistic Director of 35 years, Thomas Beveridge.
