Jack Hinshelwood Trio
Acoustic Traditional
The Jack Hinshelwood trio to perform a FREE concert in Fairfax City as part of the Bonita Lestina Old Town Hall Performance Series!
Jack Hinshelwood concerts are a guided tour across the American musical landscape, from centuries old ballads to modern popular music, from Stephen Foster and Fats Waller to Burt Bacharach and Bob Dylan. On guitar, fiddle, and harmonica – and with roots in the traditional music of the Appalachia – Jack delves deep into a rich tapestry of songs and instrumental from bluegrass, old time, Celtic, blues, western swing and many more sources!
The Trio hails from the musically rich region of Southwest Virginia, where The Crooked Road, Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail, winds through the mountains of Appalachia.
Mandolinist Scott Freeman and bassist Jacob Eller complete the Trio and both are steeped in Southwest Virginia mountain music traditions.
