Chanclas Sin Fronteras (Poetry and open mic for inherited silences and invisible norms)
There are things we learned that no one wrote down.
Ways of speaking. Of belonging. Of staying quiet. Of resisting. Codes that traveled with us through family, migration, neighborhoods, and collective memory.
Chanclas Sin Fronteras is a bilingual virtual gathering where we use poetry in Spanish as a space to name those inherited silences and invisible norms that shaped us.
We will open the evening with invited poets who will share their work and set the rhythm of the gathering. Then the microphone will be open for those who wish to read their own texts (with prior registration through a form).
We will close with a collective conversation about what emerged between word and listening.
Attendance is free and open to the public. Those who wish to read must complete the form to organize the order of participation.
Here, poetry is not decoration.
It is memory. It is mirror. It is presence.
Register here and you will receive the link in your email a few days before the gathering.
