Audition – Sleepaway Acting Camp (grades 6-8)
Traveling Players’ Thespian Ensemble is a by-audition sleepaway acting camp for students currently in grades 6-8.
In just three weeks, the Thespian Ensemble performs a classical comedy with roles to challenge every actor: witty, whimsical, physical, and emotionally complex. The program is designed to nurture and challenge the middle school actor. We select plays that honor the vast emotional resources that they are capable of tapping into, while giving students structure and skills. Our Thespians hone their performance skills through rehearsing an hour-long comedy. Each and every actor is an integral member of the ensemble. Traveling Players brings the camp back into theatre camp and gives tweens wonderful outdoor experiences and memories with their new friends.
Dates for Summer 2026
- Session 1: Jun 28 – Jul 17
- Session 2: Jul 19 – Aug 7
Auditions are held in person at our Studio in Tysons Corner Center and virtually via Zoom.
Camp is held at the historic Christchurch Boarding School in Saluda, VA.
