Reston Community Players brings laughter to CenterStage with A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, the Tony Award-winning musical comedy by Stephen Sondheim, Burt Shevelove, and Larry Gelbart. Directed by Michael Barret Jones, this high-energy farce follows a crafty slave who will do anything to win his freedom, leading to a whirlwind of mistaken identities, romance, and outrageous antics. Running April 17 through May 9 at Reston Community Center, performances times vary. Features the songs “Comedy Tonight” and “Everybody Ought to Have A Maid.” PG-13, some adult situations, involving the buying and selling of courtesans, Roman slaves, and base humor. Lots and lots of base humor.
