I am a self-taught photographer, who prefers natural lighting and does not use photoshop.
I spent 4 years as a freelance photojournalist, completing over 150 projects for community newspapers. During that same timeframe, I worked with local performing artists and music organizations, capturing live performances, promotional shoots, and awards events. I provided images that were used on cd covers, promotional flyers and posters, newspaper articles, artist and venue websites, and on social media.
My favorite things are capturing someone in their element, preserving moments, and capturing the art that I see all around me.
Lately, I have been submitting applications to exhibits and have had several successful entries, including: Brookside Gardens, AnnMarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center, Falls Church Arts, and Del Ray Artisans.
My next goal is to combine photography and writing, into meaningful projects.
