Lorentz is deeply inspired by nature. After a pandemic move to Tilghman Island, Maryland, she became mesmerized by the stunning Chesapeake Bay and immersed herself in the classic plein air painting method. Her primary medium is oil.
Lorentz also works in studio and often incorporates glitch effects into her plein air paintings. These effects explore our complex relationship with the natural environment as we advance at break-neck speed into a high-tech future.
