Edutainment Productions Inc., at OSA is a dynamic arts organization committed to the expansion of creativity, education, and cultural exposure, changing historical narratives across the whole of Northern Virginia.
With a current focus on the route 1 area of the Lorton community, which has been referred to a “cultural desert”, Edutainment Productions has been at the forefront of providing arts programming in this area.
Edutainment has actively addressed a lack of access to arts education for families and at-risk youth by offering a variety of creative arts programs, shining a light on the full spectrum of the arts, from painting to performance, dance, theater, and media arts. These programs have not only provided a creative outlet for young people but have also inspired them to pursue new possibilities in their personal and professional lives.
Edutainment has provided notable classes and programs including a Pour Paint and Cigar Box Program, Exploring Cultures of India Dance Performance, Let’s Make a Theatre from Tickets to Performance Project, and Creating Our Own Commercials, each designed not only to spark creativity but also to empower youth to see the value of self-expression, teamwork, and storytelling.
Through these efforts, Edutainment Productions is laying the groundwork for a stronger, more connected community where arts education is as vital as any other form of learning.
