Founded in 2025 and based in Springfield, Virginia, Community Makers Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that makes art and craft accessible to everyone in our community, with sustainability at the heart of how we create. Through free monthly events, we guide participants through hands-on crafts using a mix of donated, recycled, and everyday materials, giving children, teens, and seniors the tools and guidance to make something of their own. Every events also include a collaborative community art project, a piece built together that we donate to local schools, care homes, and nonprofits. Whether someone comes to make for themselves or to contribute to something bigger, they leave having created, connected, and given back. We’re now expanding into age based workshops and take home DIY kits to bring that same experience to more makers.
