Proposals are being accepted for a mural to be installed at the newly renovated Thaiss Park. Reopening in the summer of 2026, the revitalized park will feature three standard-sized baseball fields, an interactive playground, an adult fitness area, a walking track, a picnic pavilion and a concession stand.
The goal of the mural is to promote a spirit of play, celebrating athletic movement in all its dynamic, exuberant, and creative forms. The artwork should enhance the park’s visual identity, reflect a welcoming, friendly-friendly atmosphere and encourage viewer interaction or engagement.
It will be painted directly on the wall of the central building at the park, which is constructed of concrete masonry units. Photos are included in the Guidelines.
