Audition – Summer Improv Conservatory (grades 8-12)
Traveling Players’ Comedy Ensemble: Touchstones is a by-audition residential acting conservatory for students currently in grades 8-12.
In just three weeks, students in the Comedy Ensemble: Touchstones build the skills to perform short-form and long-form improvised masterpieces – complete with audience input!
This program is designed to release the creativity of each performer. Learn foundational skills for theater (and life): clarity of thought and action, mental agility, spontaneity, active listening & responding, leading & following, and creative problem solving. Then advance to long-form improv: creating stories as an ensemble from a simple prompt, or out of thin air! Improvisation is the most important tool in the actor’s toolbox—and the best part is that you’re only doing it right if you’re having fun!

Auditions are held in person at our Studio in Tysons Corner Center and virtually via Zoom.
Camp is held at the historic Christchurch Boarding School in Saluda, VA.
