Northern Virginia Local Arts Agencies
The Northern Virginia Local Arts Agencies (NVLAA) is a collaboration of the City of Alexandria’s Office of the Arts, Arlington Cultural Affairs, and ArtsFairfax to offer free professional development workshops and networking for artists and arts workers in the D.C. area.
- 2025 topics included a guide to artist open calls, marketing, paths to working with galleries, philanthropic funding, and pricing artwork.
- In FY25, 1,702 artists and arts administrators attended seven workshops and logged 2,553 hours of learning.
- NVLAA more than doubled its registration count last year with 4,919 registrants in FY25 from 2,390 in FY24.
Arts Roundtables
ArtsFairfax collaborates with County Supervisors to convene Arts Roundtables in the Fairfax County districts. Four have been conducted, and plans are underway to host Arts Roundtables in the remaining five districts in the year ahead.
