Acting for Young People (AFYP) at the Mason Community Arts Academy
Acting for Young People is providing summer online programs for students with all different levels of acting experience. Students will learn fundamental theater theories through live-stream and recorded presentations, individual and group activities, coaching from theater and film industry working professionals, and offline supplemental resources.
The Potomac Fiber Arts Guild includes members from all over the greater DC area including Fairfax County. We hold monthly meetings featuring fiber artists that will begin again in September. BalletNova Center for Dance
BalletNova is holding its first ever International Summer Intensive!
From July 6th – August 7th, and held virtually, BalletNova has brought together one of the most robust line ups of teachers in the country. Students this summer will have the opportunity to receive training from some of the most world-renowned artists and institutions.
Blue Hyacinth Mosaics
Blue Hyacinth Mosaics will host summer art camps for children ages 6 to 12. In our fun-filled, 5-day camps, students delight in transforming their ideas into all sorts of wonderful artworks including but not limited to mosaics, sculpture, painting, art, etc.

Children’s Science Center campers will embrace science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to build the skills that will serve as their tool set for the future. City of Fairfax Theatre (CFTC)
Reconnect with your friends this summer in City of Fairfax Theatre’s first ever online performance series! Join the staff from CFTC’s summer performance camp for virtual productions including “10 Ways to Survive Life in Quarantine,” “The Big One-Oh!” and “Appropriate Audience Behavior.” Camp will meet for two hours a day for two weeks, culminating in a livestream performance for friends and family. The first session begins on June 22!
Creative Cauldron’s doors may be closed, but the Cauldron is still bubbling online! They’re committed to offering creative activities every day for as long as Covid-19 lasts and they aren’t slowing down for summer. Their summer 2020 online workshops and classes begins June 15.

Join Mount Vernon Community Children’s Theatre as they take their summer camp adventure online! There will be three rounds of online summer camp as well as a workshop series and one-on-one coaching. The first round of camp begins on June 22.
NextStop Theatre Company
Introducing “NextStop Summer Theatre Escape!”
Beginning on July 6, this newly devised series features in person acting, musical theatre, and improv workshops for 1st – 12th graders. The program has been designed to adhere to the highest standards of health and safety recommendations.
Reston Community Center
Reston Community Center is reopening on July 6 with limited programming. While their traditional summer camps have been cancelled, they’ll be posting some virtual activities for young people on their Youtube channel. If you’re 18 years or older, you can register for in-person classes through the MyRCC portal. The Vienna Jammers Percussion Ensemble, Inc
Register now for the “Jammers Summer Experience.”
Open to kids new to Jammers, these week-long, half day camps serve as an audition for our performance groups. Camp participants will experience the high energy, hands-on teaching style of award-winning educator David Reynolds, Jr. and the Jammers camp staff. Campers will have daily sessions in drum set, hand drumming, and mallet percussion ensemble. No prior musical experience is required.
Traveling Players Ensemble
Spend your summer with the Traveling Players Ensemble! They have crafted summer digital programming that will be fun, engaging, challenging, and rewarding. Students will learn about classical theatre and filmmaking as well as acting techniques for the stage and camera.
Workhouse Arts Foundation, Inc

Young at Art
Weekly classes run for five consecutive weeks and offer a variety of artistic adventures while the daily classes are themed. Classes are taught by Art Specialist, Pamela Saunders, an FCPS approved vendor who has been teaching art classes in FCPS and Private schools in McLean since 2004.
