Fairfax County, VA – ArtsFairfax announces that the 10th anniversary Arts Awards will be held in Fairfax County’s newest venue, The Atrium at Capital One Hall. Tickets are on sale for the Friday, October 15, 2021 event from noon until 2:00 p.m.
Each year, ArtsFairfax recognizes four individuals and/or organizations who have made significant contributions to the arts in Fairfax County. The 2020 Arts Awards were postponed due to COVID-19. The 2021 award categories include Arts Education, Arts Impact, Arts Philanthropy, and ArtsFairfax’s premier award, the Jinx Hazel Award. Awardees will be announced later in the summer.
“ArtsFairfax is excited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Arts Awards at Fairfax County’s newest venue. Given the past year of quarantine and closures, it will be an exciting time to celebrate the arts and our newest venues,” said Linda S. Sullivan, President & CEO, ArtsFairfax. “We look forward to the tremendous impact Capital One Hall and its auxiliary performing spaces will contribute to our community.”
The ArtsFairfax Arts Awards luncheon will be one of the first events hosted at Capital One Hall.
“As the curtain lifts this Fall at Capital One Hall, we can’t think of a more fitting event to open our doors than to serve as host to the 2021 ArtsFairfax Awards Gala,” says Jonathan Griffith, Managing Director Capital One Center. “With a difficult year behind us, this will certainly be an outstanding celebration as we join together once again our arts, businesses, and elected officials in a spectacular new venue to recognize a group of amazing artists within Fairfax County.”
