Poetry Month

Chairman McKay Proclaims Poetry Month in Fairfax County
Fairfax Poet Laureate Nicole Tong invites you to celebrate the 25th anniversary of National Poetry month. Each day, ArtsFairfax will release a poem read by 30 local residents, from all walks of life, as part of Ms. Tong’s community engagement project, Poetry Lives Here.
National Poetry Month occurs each April and showcases the extraordinary legacy and ongoing achievement of American poets.
Look for a new video to be released each day during April. Follow ArtsFairfax on Facebook and Ms. Tong on Twitter @PoetryLivesHere. Remember to share with us on social media @ArtsFairfax your favorite poet, poem, and reader using the hashtag: #NPMArtsFairfax in your posts.
