The Sound of Music: Reprises & Surprises!

mcleansymphonyconcertJoin the McLean Symphony on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 7:30 pm for their concert "The Sound of Music: Reprises & Surprises" at the McLean Community Center.

The McLean Symphony was established in 1971 as an all-volunteer chamber orchestra and boasts a single conductor these forty odd years, Maestro Dingwall Fleary. During its history it has been dedicated to providing good music at affordable prices to area residents in a handsome venue, the lovely Alden theatre at the McLean Community Center.

Recognizing the importance of fostering a love of music in young people, the Symphony presents music of winners of an annual composition festival sponsored by the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association. The students get to hear their works performed by the Symphony in concert after being professionally orchestrated.
