An ARTSFAIRFAX Artist Residency program in Senior Centers in partnership with Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services.
This residency provides an opportunity for participants to explore different styles of dance, including modern dance, ballet, jazz, and improvisation, to discover their own movement style. Each session of the residency focuses on one dance style through warm-up exercises and movement combinations. The residency will culminate in a movement improvisation session where the participants will have the opportunity to synthesize what they have learned into their own movement style.
Senior Center Membership is required to participate in the Artist Residency program.
Every Tuesday (12:30 – 1:45 pm) and Wednesday (9:45 – 10:45 am), August 13 – September 11.* * No class on August 27 and August 28. Check Lincolnia Senior Center for any changes.
