I’m a self-taught paper quilling artist; refining my craft with repeated trials and practice. I find happiness in creating beautiful and colorful designs made from paper strips. Paper quilling involves strips that are rolled, looped, curled, and otherwise manipulated to produce shapes that combine to create designs.
Quilling is an art form that dates back centuries and at one time was reserved for royalty. Now, people in many cultures and at many ages have access to quilling. Required tools and supplies are modest, yet the handiwork results in spectacular, textured, and colorful designs. While that sounds simple, quilling truly requires a lot of patience and an eye for color. There is no limitation to the designs that can be made and based on customer requests for customization, my collection has significantly grown over the years.
I stumbled upon paper quilling art in 2012 and converted this passion into a business in 2016. In 2016 I also launched online and in-person workshops to share my beloved craft and the knowledge I’ve gained with others. Right now I am conducting workshops at Workhouse Arts Center (Lorton), Providence REC Center (Falls Church, via Fairfax Parks Authority), CraftSpace (Chantilly), and a few more places.
