A screen printer, visual artist and designer living and working in Vienna VA.
Originally from the UK, Chitra has a BA in Textile Design from the Winchester School of Art, and trained to be an art educator at the Institute of Education – University of London
Chitra designs and prints a range of children’s clothing and products under the label Noctiluna, which are sold at local craft shows and shops. She runs personalized classes in printmaking from her home studio.
Over the past six years, Chitra has conducted the Noctiluna Visual Arts summer camp in Oakton, for elementary and middle school aged children. The program includes an internship for high school students.
An Arts Fairfax artist in residence in 2018, Chitra enjoys opportunities to work with local schools to provide a variety of ways for young people to engage with the arts on a regular basis.
