Detailed Information

The State Theatre is a music venue with a rich history. It was built in 1936, and operated as a popular movie theatre until the late 1980’s. In the late 90’s, it went through a multi-million dollar restoration. This included the addition of a brand-new state of the art sound system, high-tech lighting and hardwood floors and much more. On the lower level, there are cocktail style tables where you can take advantage of the full menu and bar. There is also an open area for dancing, standing or whatever you see fit. There are a total of four bars in the venue serving nine different types of beer on tap.

On the upper level, you will find a lounge area and bar perfect for taking a break from the music or sitting back to relax. Next to the lounge is an entrance way to the balcony where there are 215 theatre style seats (renovated seats from the original State Theatre).

This restoration turned the former movie theatre from the 1930’s into what has been labeled as “Washington’s Premiere Live Music Venue.” This venue hosts national and regional acts and holds private events.
