Arts for Life Festival

In support of the Fairfax County 50+ Community Action Plan,  ArtsFairfax, Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) as well as other County agencies and community partners have partnered for the Arts for Life. As the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) continues to impact our community, the Arts for Life Festival, originally scheduled for May to coincide with Older Americans Month was postponed. A future date for the festival will be announced when it is appropriate to do so.

In the meantime, The Virtual Center for Active Adults is providing free online classes and performances through a network of community partners.

Artist Residencies

To provide deeper arts experiences, ArtsFairfax and NCS are partnering to provide artist residencies in senior centers. Professional teaching artists are able to offer unique high impact arts experiences in a variety of arts disciplines. The artist residencies will be offered online through the virtual center for active adults in 2020/2021.
