Virginia Chamber Orchestra

The Virginia Chamber Orchestra is unique among Northern Virginia-based orchestras in having engaged only fully professional players, paying every player full union scale and benefits, since it was founded in 1970. This results in outstanding quality. Led by Music Director David Grandis, the orchestra draws enthusiastic crowds to the Ernst Center,  NVCC – Annandale and to its annual collaborative concert with the Mason Symphony at the GMU Center for the Arts.

Since July 26,  2014 (opening day of the Silver Line) the VCO has taken the lead in bringing live classical music into the “New City of Tysons” by presenting Classical Cabaret concerts at the 1st Stage Theater.
