You can enjoy performances at the CenterStage, ranging from plays to concerts, dance performances, and more. Past seasons have brought a marvelous variety of events, including sold out performances of Trout Fishing in America, the long-standing musical partnership of Grammy nominees Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet; Lunasa, one of the most popular Irish bands touring the world; the Reduced Shakespeare Company; and performances by many other international and local soloists and groups.
Community events bring everyone together for fun and relaxation, celebration and enrichment. Community events include the Reston Multicultural Festival, the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, summertime concerts and dances, and so much more.
The Jo Ann Rose Gallery and 3D Gallery at RCC Lake Anne provides a place where Reston’s active and vibrant visual arts community can exhibit their work. The Gallery is equipped with a warming kitchen, so exhibit openings can be held there, too. RCC 3D Gallery, opened in September 2011, showcases ceramic pieces, sculpture and other 3-dimensional pieces throughout the year. Lighted, mirrored display cases gives art lovers a truly 3-dimensional view of the art. Monthly exhibits are also displayed in the Hunters Woods facility. Please see RCC Art Exhibit Schedule for a complete list of upcoming exhibits.
Arts Education programs engage the learning artist in each of us. RCC offers an arts education experience for preschoolers to post-retirees and everyone in between.
