In 2009, NRDC was the proud recipient of the Metro DC Dance Awards’ “Founders Award” for innovation in dance and was a finalist in multiple award categories. NRDC is currently the dance resident artist at The Workhouse Arts Center.
It is NRDC’s mission to create art collaboratively with artists of all disciplines and to support the creation of experimental dance work. As a unit, we are committed to creating new work which challenges ideas and broadens perceptions, while also encouraging experimentation at the highest level. We are devoted to being a part of our dance community’s growth through the inclusion of various artists in specific performance and outreach programs. Each NRDC collaborator brings a new community of not only audience but also outreach to our collective.
