Request for Expression of Interest for Capital One Project

We have issued a Request for Expression of Interest for Capital One's forthcoming performance facility as part of Capital One's expansion of its Tysons Headquarters. Banking industry leader Capital One is proposing to expand its Tysons, Virginia headquarters by late fall of 2019 with a performing arts center, residential housing, and a Wegmans grocery store. Capital One will keep the performing arts facility avaialble for civic use, for limited and specified periods of time, throughout the year. The performing arts center will include a 1570 seat auditorium with proscenium stage, a 250 seat black box multipurpose room, two classrooms, a loading dock, lobby and reception areas, and parking. Scheduling of the venues will be handled through a professional venue management company, and fees will be comparable to local venue rates. Operating Support Grants Exceed $379,000

Fairfax County, VA – The Arts Council of Fairfax County has awarded $379,013 in Operating Support Grants to 41 nonprofit arts organizations in Fairfax County. Operating Support Grants provide critical funds necessary for the basic operation of arts organizations in Fairfax County in recognition of the valuable programs and services they provide to County residents.Select recipients include BalletNova, Arts Herndon, Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia, and Ist Stage. The event recognized the outstanding contributions of these organizations to the arts in our County.
