Bridget Tunstall is an award winning theatre professional and degree candidate in George Mason University’s K-12 theatre education program with experience in non-profit and community theatre.
A trained actor, director, dramaturge, and makeup designer, Ms. Tunstall has been involved in productions ranging from Greek Theatre and Shakespeare to contemporary rock and roll musicals.
Her experience coordinating educational outreach activities for the Lucas Theatre in Savannah, GA provided her with the unique opportunity to work with a wide range of artists to bring music and theatre to the students and administrators in the Chatham County Public School System. As an arts professional she has been able to integrate her performance skills and team management abilities into the classrooms where she substitute teaches on a daily basis.
As a resident artist, Ms. Tunstall will challenge middle school students to look at modern media and how it influences their opinions by examining an issue that is important to them and their school. Through research, media investigations, thoughtful discussion, and the creation of an original script, students express their point of view about an issue of concern in a theatrical performance.
