Video Fairfax
The Video Fairfax Competition, for students enrolled in grades K-12 in Fairfax County Public Schools, helps students to learn about video and digital media from video professionals. Children participate in a hands-on workshop about video production techniques.
Then, students submit original videos produced through individual or group efforts. Videos are judged by professionals from local television studios and independent video production companies. An awards program and reception celebrates the winning entries, which are featured on Channel 21, the Fairfax County Public Schools cable television station.
The 2009 first place winners are - From Left to Right - FCPS Deputy Superintendent Richard Moniuszko, Emcee Matt Fetters, FCPS School Board Vice Chair Tessie Wilson, and Cox Communications Senior Vice President & General Manager Janet Barnard
