The M-NCPPC invites artists or artist teams from Maryland; Washington, D.C. and Virginia with public art experience submit an application to design, fabricate and install an original work of art recognizing donors in the lobby of the new Beltsville-Laurel Senior Activity Center. Up to three finalists will be selected from the applications to create proposals.
Watch out for Jennifer Crawford at the Soundry in Vienna . If you have never been, you should keep an eye on this event. There will be an artist run life-jury and web streaming of the judging process. Artists will defend their art and judge other artists' work.
The Arts Council is funded by the Fairfax County Government, the Virginia Commission for the Arts, an agency supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, corporations, foundations, and individuals.
