Artisans United (25)

Artisans United is a non-profit organization striving to preserve, promote, and develope the disciplines of visual arts and crafts. The organization provides an intellectual and creative forum for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and materials among its members. Opportunities for growth and development are provided in a climate of mutual respect for the different dsciplines with encouragement given to all members.

ArtSpace Herndon (24)

ArtSpace Herndon is a community art gallery created and supported by art lovers in the greater Herndon area. ArtSpace Herndon is a gathering place to celebrate the arts, showcasing artwork and events by local, regionally, and nationally known artists and performers.

Council for the Arts of Herndon, Inc. (37)

The Council for the Arts of Herndon is the Town of Herndon’s officially designated local arts agency. CAH is a private, not-for-profit charitable organization supported by citizens, businesses and the public sector including the Town of Herndon and the Arts Council of Fairfax County.

Fairfax Art League, Inc. (30)

The Fairfax Art League currently has two gallery locations in the heart of Old Town Fairfax. The Old Town Hall and Village gallery are located for both locals and visitors to the area near ample parking. The Fairfax Art League Gallery is a members' cooperative gallery representing hundreds of local artists.

Great Falls Arts Center (25)

The Great Falls Art Center (GFAC) was founded in 1982 as a non-profit community service organization. The purpose of the GFAC is to promote the Visual Arts through art education and exhibitions in the Great Falls area and nearby areas of Fairfax County, VA.

Great Falls Foundation for the Arts (31)

GFFFTA's mission is to expand opportunities for art education, expression and professional development in the Great Falls community, and to network with other individuals and organizations that share these goals.

Great Falls Studio (24)

Great Falls Studios (GFS) was founded in May 2003 by a small group who wished to establish a network of artists in the community of Great Falls, Virginia. It now has a membership of more than 100 artists who produce art in their studios throughout the town of Great Falls.   Membership is open to any working artist in the community as well as non-artist "Friends" who wish to join with these artists to establish more art in Great Falls.

GreaterRestonArtCenter (GRACE) (31)

GreaterRestonArtsCenter (GRACE) enriches community life by promoting involvement and excellence in contemporary visual arts. In pursuit of this mission, GRACE provides a year-round program of visual art exhibitions, education programs for all ages, and special events.

High Country Basketry Guild (32)

The High Country Basketry Guild (HCBG) was established in 1985 for people who are interested in baskets, whether making or collecting them. HCBG is an organization of basketmakers and professionals dedicated to preserve standards of excellence in the design and workmanship of basketry, and through education to promote public awareness of basketry as a craft and art.

Initiative for Public Art - Reston Inc. (39)

The Initiative for Public Art - Reston (IPAR), a group of civic leaders who represent Reston's key community organizations, seeks to inspire a new commitment to public art that builds on Reston's tradition of supporting community arts and culture. IPAR is dedicated to fostering community discourse and education about public art, creating new expectations about the possibilities for art in the public realm, and cultivating a new generation of artworks in the community.

Little Picasso School of Visual Arts (36)

The Little Picasso School of Visual Arts is a private institution devoted to expanding the artistic abilities of students of all ages. The school is divided into two customized departments that vary by age and instruction: The Little Picasso and the Portfolio Prep classes.

Lorton Arts Foundation (28)

The Lorton Arts Foundation, Inc. (LAF) is a 501(c) 3 Virginia non‐profit organization which uses the former Occoquan Workhouse Prison as a thriving world-class center for the arts, preserving the rich architectural and cultural heritage. The Foundation executes its mission through the Workhouse Arts Center (the Workhouse). It promotes and supports the arts in Lorton, Fairfax, and neighboring counties in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

McLean Project for the Arts (29)

The mission of McLean Project for the Arts is to exhibit the work of emerging and established artists from the mid-Atlantic region; to promote public awareness and understanding of the concepts of contemporary art; and to offer instruction and education in the visual arts.

MOD Arts (14)

Offically incorporated as a "For-Profit" and "Not-for-Profit" in the state of Virginia in 2005, MOD Arts exists with the mission of providing exposure and acclaim to those artists who endeavor and seek it.

Northern Virginia Artists League (NOVAL) (21)

NOVAL was created to bring together artists who want to share their ideas with each other and the community. NOVAL has shows in local businesses, restaurants and in juried shows. Some of the juried shows include "Art at the Mill" in Millwood and the Oatlands Plantation Art Show. NOVAL also gets invited to do painting demos for other organizations.

Northern Virginia Carvers (23)

The Northern Virginia Carvers is a not-for-profit association organized in 1973 with a primary purpose to promote community interest in the art and craft of woodcarving. Members are primarily from the Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. metropolitan area but anyone is welcome to participate. The association meets on a regular basis to carve, help others learn or improve their woodcarving ability, demonstrate carving at selected public events, and participate in public service activities.

Potomac Chapter American Needlepoint Guild (26)

The American Needlepoint Guild, Inc. (ANG) is non-profit organization whose purpose is educational and cultural development through participation in the art of needlepoint. Membership in ANG is open to all stitchers, amateur and professional, novice and experienced, and everything in between.

Quilters Unlimited Fairfax Chapter (31)

Quilters Unlimited was founded in 1972 with the purpose of preserving the tradition, culture and history of quilting, and promoting the knowledge and understanding of the art of quilting through continuing educational services for members and public education activities. Membership is open to any person who is interested in quilting. Visitors are welcome to attend meetings of any chapter.

Sacred Threads (32)

Sacred Threads is an exhibition of quilts exploring the subject themes of spirituality, joy, inspiration, peace/brotherhood, grief and healing. This biennial exhibition was established to provide a safe venue for quilters who see their work as a connection to the sacred and/or as an expression of their spiritual journey. Sacred Threads is open only to quilters within the United States and Canada. Only quilts or quilted hangings will be considered.

Springfield Arts Guild (30)

Springfield Art Guild (SAG) is a non-profit group interested in promoting an interest in fine art and fine crafts through educational programs, juried shows, and classes for adults and children.  SAG seeks to develop artistic appreciation in the community by providing scholarships for high school students, exhibiting art, co-sponsoring an annual New York trip, as well as local tours, and publishing a monthly newsletter.

The League of Reston Artists (LRA) (21)

The League of Reston Artists (LRA) is an active and enthusiastic volunteer-run group of diverse visual fine artists, photographers, and supporters of the arts residing in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. LRA is a non-profit 501c3 and relies on donations from the art-loving community to fulfill its mission.

Vienna Arts Society (26)

The purpose of the Vienna Arts Society is to bring together area artists to share interests, to enrich their own experience in art and to make contributions to the community. As a volunteer organization, it is highly regarded as a well run organization, respected for always striving for high standards in the art field.
