How do I register on this site?

Simply click the registration link located under the main menu in News > Community > Register Now or go to the "Site Log-In" panel located on the top right corner and click on the "Create Account" link.  You may also use your Facebook account to log in. Registration is free and only takes a minute. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. Once you confirm your registration, please log in at the top right of our site under log-in button with your newly established user name and password. If you forget it, request a reminder under the log-in link. Check your spam filter if you do not receive an e-mail, before contacting us.

Who can post to the online calendar?

If your event is held in Fairfax County and you are an artist or arts organization residing in Fairfax County, the City of Falls Church or the City of Fairfax, you can post to the calendar. We only post arts events. Galas or event fundraisers for artists and arts organizations are acceptable. Using the calendar is free of charge.

How do I post on the arts calendar?

Log in with your user name and password. Go to the calendar under the news section and click the "Add Event" button on the date you like to have your event. Notice how there is a plus sign in the right corner of the event when you mouse over the selected date.  Follow the on-screen instructions. Remember to fill in the correct calendar category, contact name, phone number and location.

My event does not show up?

Our administrator will confirm your submission which takes up to 24 hours. Your event shows up in 2 places. On the home page in the calendar module and on the large arts calendar.

How do I get into the featured event module on the Home Page?

E-mail us a photo, press release, and information on your event to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Subject line should be "Featured Events." We cannot promise that your event will be picked. If we do feature you, your event will be listed on the home page and in our electronic newsletter.

How do we get mentioned in the arts news blog?

E-mail us a photo, press release, and information on your event to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . We will publish your news as we receive them. Simulateously, they will appear on our Facebook, and Twitter  accounts. This is an informational resource for the Fairfax County residents.
