Welcome to the 2012 Creative Arts Programs

Now celebrating 41 years of connecting students and families with high quality arts education programs in Fairfax County and the Northern Virginia region, CAPs programs inspire imagination, creativity and innovation, and lay the foundation for life-long learning and self-expression. The objective of CAPs remains, to this day, to enable CAPS subscribers to successfully integrate cultural arts programs into the lives of their audiences.

In 2011 CAPs reached 49,000 elementary school students in 75 Fairfax County Public Schools and the Arts Council of Fairfax County received the 2011 Fairfax County Public Schools Community Partner of the Year Award.

Our gratitude goes to the CAPs sponsors – Dominion Foundation, Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, Fairfax County Public Schools, Mary Jo Ford, Reston Community Center, Verizon, and Jean Schiro-Zavela and Vance Zavela. We also thank the many parents,  teachers and volunteers who embrace and bring CAPs to their schools and community. Through their generous support, the Arts Council offers this professional-quality program to enrich the lives of our young people.

We look forward to sharing with you all the Creative Arts Programs and to serving our youth in the years to come.

"Great show. The artist did a fantastic job of engaging the audience and even dropped in some morals and good values in his answers after the performance."
